The Rectory and its grounds is an ideal location for photo shoots and onsite filming location. It has been used in the past as a set for film companies throughout Europe and Worldwide. The stunning scenery of Glandore coastline with the landscaped garden and setting are simply breathtaking. ![]() The Rectory is a listed georgian period listed building. It was built in 1804 by the Allen family. It runs as a private party venue. Many of the original features have been restored since its purchase by the O' Brien family in 1993. There are beautiful original fireplaces, and even some of the origianal glass panes are still intack. The vibrant colours of the blue, red and green rooms are fantastic bakdrop to any photo shoot or film set. The views from the building overlook the harbour of Glandore celebrated in poetry by Jonathan Swift in his Latin Poem Carberiae Rupes (English translation - Carbery Rocks tanslated by Dr. Dunkin).
