A number of couples who get married at the Rectory do so in under 6-9 months. Forget all those terrrible urban legends you've heard. We are talking from 1st hand experience here including a family member who organised their own wedding in less than 4 months!!! They said they found it really easy to achieve as everyone pulled together and helped make the event a great success.

Legislation passed in Ireland now grants the opportunity for same sex couples to rights and responsibilities comparable to civil marriage under the Civil Partnership Act. There is a three month waiting period for all civil ceremonies in Ireland. It is now possible to hold these ceremonies at the Rectory since legislation was passed in January 2011. As a regulation of the HSE department in Ireland you can only hold these ceremonies inside a permananent structure so tents and marquees etc. do not seem possible. As it is not possible to perform these in your own home or private dwelling the Rectory is the next best thing. We can cater for these in the blue or red room depending on your numbers. Both rooms overlook the Rectory lawn and Glandore Harbour. We have also held a ceremony indoor at our stairway as another option.
