Hear are a few tips to ensure that you look back on your party with the confidence that you were looking and feeling your very best.
Make an appointment to discuss your beauty treatment package with your Beauty Therapist as early as you can. Your package should include what your treatment plan will consist of, dates and times of appointments, number of people in your Party, prices etc.
Your therapist will be delighted to plan the treatments you need for the run up to your Party be it a wedding, anniversary or special occasion. Just think your Therapist deals with Brides every other week so make the most of her experience. Your Beauty Therapist is there to advise you on all your aesthetic needs leading up to your big Day so feel free to pick her brains.
I can not stress the importance of a good homecare routine and regular Facials. In order for your make up to look flawless, having a good canvas to work on is half the battle. I usually advise to have facials on a monthly basis and tailor each facial to their individual needs.
To maintain the Facials I would advise products to use at home and how and when to use them. Generally I would advise cleansing, toning and moisturising twice daily and exfoliating twice weekly. When the correct products are used to compliment your skin it is amazing how much your skin can improve.
The shape of your eyebrows can change your whole appearance, Have you every heard that a good eyebrow shape is like a mini facelift? Let your brows grow for a few weeks and get a re-shape, you will be pleasantly surprised! Eyelash tinting which dyes your lashes, is a great alternative to mascara (esp. if there is a possibility of tears).
Put a little thought into your make up trial and bring pictures of looks you like from magazines, swatches of dress fabrics or ideas of flower colours and whether your party is going to be themed. Be honest about what you like and dislike and make sure you have enough time to try a few different looks. Bring a camera or take a few pictures on your phone to help you decide.
Current wedding trends suggest make under rather than make over! This goes for make up and tanning, visualise you and your husband looking at your photos in ten years time. Do you want to look back and think I look natural and timeless or what was I thinking that’s so ten years ago? Get several tan trials before a night out or maybe even for your hen night and take note of how long it lasts, how it fades, and how it will look on your honeymoon. I advise that you should start preparing your skin for tanning by exfoliating and moisturising your body daily. There is no one tan that could ever look good with flaky skin.
Manicures before the event can shape up even the most distressed nails or prepare your hands for beautiful and natural looking extensions or express nails.
And don’t forget your toes! Even Jimmy Choo’s can not hide neglected feet. Pedicures are a must; your feet will thank you by looking and feeling great on the day.
Body massage, relaxation treatments and all of the treatments above will help you through the hectic few months before your wedding day, can help soothe last minute nerves, and when all this is done just think how wonderful you’ll feel on your Wedding Day and Honeymoon!
